No canon characters like Luke, Leia, Vader and so on.
A comm-link in the Star Wars universe is a close range 'walkie talkie' like device. At Extinction it is more like a cell phone device used for long range communication. You can't surf the net and play games on it, but essentially treat it like a smart phone you can use to transfer credits from one account to another or make calls.
Alderaan was never destroyed. In fact NO CANON EVENTS EVER HAPPENED. This means no great Sith Schism, no Anakin, no KOTOR, nothing. This applies across the board to any event in comics, movies, books, online games, you name it. We can not stress that enough, canon events are ignored completely here.
Much like the above note, most of the technology is from the Rebellion era of Star Wars, however do not limit yourself to this technology. We are flexible.
Jedi and Sith are considerably different.
Jedi are allowed to marry or be otherwise involved whereas in canon they are not.
Sith are not subject to the 'rule of two'. There are more than two Sith, how many is unknown as the admins are attempting to keep a handle on force users over all.

What else do we need to add?
